Occine
Digital magazine and storeOccine is the publishing and retail company of the inter SL group, and the one that has nothing to do with hiring. It is a film magazine and an apparel store, run as a single business because the audience for both is the same audience.
The editorial side was previously published as Official Cinema. It is a curated publication rather than an aggregator: films are chosen, not scraped, and the recommendation is the product.

The editorial half publishes on a weekly rhythm and keeps a permanent reference layer underneath it.
- Weekly editions
- A hand-picked selection published on a fixed schedule, with the reasoning behind each choice.
- The Top 5000
- A standing ranked reference of films, maintained rather than republished as an annual list.
- Editions and publishers
- Physical releases catalogued by edition and publisher, for the part of the audience that collects.
- Shops, events and news
- Physical-shop listings, a member marketplace and coverage of what is happening in the format.
The store
The retail half sells apparel from the Occine house label alongside independent third-party brands, checked out through Stripe. It is stocked to sit next to the editorial rather than to chase it, and the two halves share one account, one basket and one audience.
Why it sits in the group
Occine is the group's consumer-facing business and its proving ground for publishing, subscription and checkout mechanics that the business-to-business companies do not exercise. What is learned about audience and retention here is not theoretical by the time it is applied elsewhere.

Common questions
Is Occine a magazine or a shop?
Both, deliberately. The magazine and the store run in one product with one account, because the person reading about a film and the person buying the shirt are the same person.
What happened to Official Cinema?
It became the magazine half of Occine. The editorial continues under the Occine name alongside the store.
